Gibbs & Olson is based in the Hotel Monticello in Longview, WA.  The hotel has been a landmark since it's dedication in 1923.  The firm occupies over 9,000 square feet on the third floor.

Gibbs & Olson opened its doors 58 years ago in 1950.  Since then we have assisted hundreds of public and private entities with design and construction management of vital infrastructure, including water, sewer, road, and storm drainage facilities.  

 

We serve Western Washington and Northwest Oregon.  Our projects range from small studies costing a few thousand dollars to multi-million dollar construction projects. We are often involved in projects from conception through design, construction, and start-up.

 

Gibbs & Olson has a long history of ownership stability as long-time employees familiar with the mission and goals of Gibbs & Olson succeed retiring shareholders.  The firm is owned and operated by five professional engineers who, together, have more than 102 years of tenure at Gibbs & Olson.  These individual reside within the firm's service area and are available to assist clients on a daily basis.  These individuals are:

Gibbs & Olson employs 35 professionals.  Our skilled staff includes 12 licensed professional engineers, two engineers-in-training, two licensed professional land surveyors, four survey crew members, seven construction inspectors, three AutoCAD experts, and six administrative and support persons.  (Adds to 36 because one individual is both a professional engineer and a licensed land surveyor.)  The numbers and skills of these individuals means Gibbs & Olson can bring additional professionals to bear quickly on issues that arise.  Our engineers and staff support each other with technical discussions and peer-reviews. 

 

Gibbs & Olson has offices in Longview and Olympia.  Both offices are thoroughly modern facilities with sophisticated computer systems.  All computers are networked and exchange data on a designated high-speed T-1 line.  This allows for a free and quick exchange of ideas and documents.  Field personnel work daily with technically advanced equipment and modern vehicles.
