McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge & Ahles Point Cabin, Kalama, Washington

Client—Collins Architectural Group

Gibbs & Olson provided site design and limited construction phase services for the new $9.8 million McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge & Ahles Point Cabin. The three-story hotel has 40 rooms, plus a rooftop bar with a view of the Columbia River. The first floor includes a brewery, restaurant/pub and gift shop. Additionally, there are two meeting room spaces, each capable of holding 50 people. Ahles Point Cabin, a small 25-person bar, just down the trail from the Lodge features wine and handcrafted ale.

The Lodge and Cabin required: site grading; temporary erosion and sediment control; water and sanitary sewer connections to existing utilities; and stormwater collection, treatment and discharge per City of Kalama requirements. Parking lot and sidewalk/trail design were included in the site layout.
