Exit 48 Watermain
Client—City of Castle Rock, Washington
Recently completed, Gibbs & Olson provided surveying, design and construction management services for this water main improvement project. The improvements included installing 8,500 feet of new 12-inch polyvinyl chloride piping. Additionally, 200 feet of insulated and jacketed ductile iron watermain was installed and attached to a city-owned bridge over BNSF tracks. Associated fittings, valves, blowoff assemblies, traffic control, and surface restoration were also included as part of the improvements. The project included obtaining right-of-way permits from the BNSF, WSDOT, and Cowlitz County.
