Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
Client—City of Astoria, Oregon
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement Project was a comprehensive effort to modernize and expand treatment capacity at the City’s aging facility. The project addressed increased organic loading, regulatory compliance needs, and long-term growth. Gibbs & Olson was hired to provide preliminary engineering, full design, bid support, and construction phase services to upgrade the headworks and electrical and control system, and to improve the lagoon process. The final plant enhancements provide critical infrastructure improvements that increase treatment capacity, improve reliability, and ensure continued regulatory compliance.
