Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
Client—City of Astoria, Oregon
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement Project is a comprehensive effort to modernize and expand treatment capacity at the City’s aging facility. The project addresses increased organic loading, regulatory compliance needs, and long-term growth. Gibbs & Olson was hired to provide preliminary engineering, full design, bid support, and construction phase services for headworks upgrades, lagoon process improvements, electrical and control system upgrades, and construction management. Currently in the final construction phase, the final plant enhancements will deliver critical infrastructure improvements that increase treatment capacity, improve reliability, and ensure continued regulatory compliance.
