Main Street Improvements
Client—City of Chehalis, Washington
This project is in the final stages of construction and Gibbs & Olson provided surveying, design and is providing construction phase services for this TIB funded project. The roadway improvements included performing a 2-inch grind and overlay for 1,800 feet of existing roadway, replacing traffic signal detection, pedestrian actuated crossings and replacing ADA ramps to meet current requirements. The existing storm drainage was retained. Existing curb, gutter, sidewalk and street lights were retained. Where utility poles were in conflict with the proposed improvements, ADA compliant pedestrian ramps were designed around existing utility poles that remained in place.
