Construction completed for the new potable water storage reservoir and booster pump station facility at Benaroya’s 320-Acre Pacific Northwest Regional Logistics Center. Gibbs & Olson provided design and construction management services for the new facility. The new concrete tank reservoir has an effective capacity of 240,000 gallons. The new package booster pump station contains four pumps with a total capacity of 2,000 gallons per minute (gpm) housed within a concrete masonry unit building. The pump station includes a manual transfer switch and generator receptacle for a portable standby generator that can be used during a power outage. Site improvements included constructing a gravel road to allow vehicles to access the facility and installing a fence around the perimeter with an access gate. Three phase electrical power was extended to the site from the Lewis County PUD’s electrical system. Onsite stormwater facilities discharge to a nearby detention pond which was designed to meet Lewis County stormwater requirements.
