Join Gibbs & Olson in helping Give More 24 on 9/24

Southwest Washington’s day of community giving returns Thursday, September 24. Starting at midnight, this 24-hour online giving marathon will attract thousands of donors from across the region and benefit more than 100 nonprofits serving Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania Counties. And, thanks to a $75,000 stretch pool and twenty $1,000 nonprofit prizes, every dollar you give will go a little further for 24 hours. Gibbs & Olson will Be An Angel and Help a Devil by making a donation to the Lower Columbia College Foundation. What will you do?

Gibbs & Olson Mourns the Loss of John Duncan

John_Duncan1190152Gibbs & Olson is deeply saddened by the death of one of our principals, John Duncan, early this week. John joined Gibbs & Olson in 1984 and was a licensed engineer and land surveyor in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. He led the survey department for over 20 years and became a principal in 1995. One of John’s favorite sayings was “Life’s a giggle,” and he was known for both his stories and his patience. He will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with John’s wife, Sandy, his family, and numerous friends.

A memorial fund in honor of John Duncan has been established by the City of Gearhart. The funds will be used to help complete the Ridge Path Trail extension through the wetland areas. Once completed the extension will be named Duncan’s Crossing in honor of John. You can click on the following link for more information on how to donate. Duncan Memorial Fund
